Can you believe that we’re already halfway through 2026? We thought we’d take the opportunity to update you on some of the fantastic new functionality and feature enhancements that our development team has been working hard behind the scenes to roll out recently. Many of these updates are shaped directly by feedback from our system users, ensuring your ticketing and CRM operations continue to run as efficiently as possible.
Here is a round-up of the latest improvements now live in Monad:
💺 Seating Plan Improvements: SVG Document Import
Designing and updating your auditorium layouts just got a lot simpler. You can now import seating plans directly from SVG documents into Monad. This functionality was recently used to great effect during our onboarding and go-live process with the English National Ballet, allowing for complex venue mapping to be handled smoothly and accurately.

👥 Advanced Item Assignment
During or Post-Purchase Assignment: You can now assign specific users to individual items during the checkout flow or at any time after the purchase has been completed, giving ticket buyers more flexibility when managing group bookings or allocations.

🗂️ Streamlined CRM & Account Management
We’ve expanded our CRM functionality to give you a more complete view of your patrons:
- Expanded Job Roles: User links have been extended to support professional and corporate tracking. You can now specify a user’s company, role, and explicit start and end times for specific jobs within the system.

- New Address Fields: In addition to the default options for billing, delivery, and correspondence, you can now add dedicated ‘Home’ and ‘Work’ addresses to customer records.

- Secondary Emails: Accounts now support multiple email addresses, making it easier to manage communications for contacts who use both personal and professional mailboxes.

⏳ Waiting Lists – Pagination and Automated Archival
Monad users should see a significant improvement in response time in Lists, our customer segmentation tool. Our new pagination process means the content loads much quicker, plus we’ve made housekeeping easier. The system now features an automated process that moves relevant waiting lists to a new archive group as soon as an event folder is archived, keeping your default Lists view clean.

💳 Payment Gateway Upgrades: Breathe Payments & Mobile Wallets
We have introduced a new gateway integration with Breathe Payments for Cardstream-hosted payments. Crucially, this update brings native support for Google Pay and Apple Pay, offering your customers a frictionless, modern checkout experience on both desktop and mobile devices.

📱 Mobile & Security Updates
- Smartphone Scanner: Box office and front-of-house teams can now utilise an enhanced scanning feature on Android devices when using the Monad Scanner application. From version 2.113.1.0 people can use the phone’s built-in camera to validate tickets without requiring external hardware.
- We’ve also taken the opportunity to update the user experience. As well as a cleaner display and updated valid and invalid sounds, the Scanner application will now follow the device’s mode preference for Light Mode or Dark Mode.
- Enhanced Sign-up Protection: To combat spam accounts and automated bots, we have introduced secure Captcha protection on the customer sign-up page. Speak to the support team if you’d like this turned on for your database.
📊 Temporary VAT Rate Filtering
Following up on our recent guidance regarding HMRC’s temporary summer VAT reduction for the heritage and attractions sector, we have added specific VAT rate filtering by discount.
