Setting the Limit: New Minimum and Maximum Pricing Arrives in Version 2.93.1.0

With the release of version 2.93.1.0, now in beta testing, we are continuing our focus on providing the most flexible pricing tools in the ticketing industry. This latest update introduces previously requested refinements to our manual pricing options, alongside a fresh new look for our AI-powered reporting.

Greater Control for “Pay What You Feel”

Monad Ticketing has long supported manual pricing—often used for ‘Pay What You Feel’ schemes – allowing customers to choose their own price point for things like one-off donations. Previously, this was structured to always allow products to be added to the basket at zero value.

In version 2.93.1.0, we’ve introduced the ability to set a minimum and/or maximum price for these items. This gives you the flexibility of customer-led pricing while maintaining the necessary guardrails for your revenue and capacity management.

Where could this work for you?

Experimental Performances and Previews: For new works or test events, you might want to let customers choose their price. By setting a minimum value of, say, £1, you ensure that the customer has ‘skin in the game’, reducing the risk of no-shows and wasted capacity.

Tiered Memberships: You can now create structured membership tiers with defined price ranges. For example:

  • Tier 1: £1 – £100
  • Tier 2: £101 – £250
  • Tier 3: £251+

This allows your supporters to choose a contribution level that suits them within a framework that clearly defines their membership status.

Introducing ‘Smart Query’

Since we announced our revolutionary natural language reporting tool last year, we’ve seen fantastic engagement from partners using AI to unlock insights from their data.

To better reflect its role within the system, we are renaming this feature. In future updates, you will find the natural language query tool listed in both lists and reports as ‘Smart Query’, accompanied by an eye-catching new button to make it even easier to find.

The Big Picture

Whether it’s giving you more granular control over your ticket prices or making your data more accessible through Smart Query, these updates are designed to streamline your operations and empower your team.

Look out for these features coming to your system soon. As always, we’d love to hear your thoughts on these new features. Please reach out to the team at support@monadticketing.com with any feedback or questions.
